It has a large dustbin that is ideal to reduce the frequency at which you must empty it. It is compatible with digital maps and virtual barriers which let you restrict it to certain areas or to stop completely cleaning when you want to stop it from getting stuck on something.
Although it's not the most efficient model in its price range but it's far superior to other alternatives. The IQ app comes with advanced mapping and automated features, but it does not have no-go zones. These are only available on iRobot robots. The smart-pathing navigational system results in greater maneuverability, and its high-pile carpet mode is clean well, but it tends to get caught up on rug tassels. Its iHome speaker allows you to control the robot using voice commands.
In our tests in our tests, the IQ was capable of handling pet hair effectively, clearing an impressive amount of debris from floors that were not bare and fair amounts of medium-pile carpet. It was less efficient with shag carpets, where it had a hard time reaching dirt and dust embedded within the fibers. It was able navigate the legs of a chair, tiny spaces, and even the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. We did notice that it was a bit slower on bare floors but it quickly recovered and performed more thoroughly than other robots we tested.
The IQ is a better choice over the iRobot Roomba 694 for most applications. It has a bigger dust bin and lasts longer on charge, and is more capable of maneuvering itself over obstacles. It comes with a mopping tool that can clean up sticky messes. The iRobot is, here however, feels better built and has fewer parts that need maintenance or replacement and has lower recurring costs, can create virtual no-go zones using its companion application. It can even resume cleaning from where it left off in case it has run out of battery before finishing the job. The iRobot can also be controlled via voice commands, which is a huge plus for many users.
Eufy 11S
The RoboVac 11S by eufy isn't exactly the most feature-rich robot vacuum on the market but it does provide excellent cleaning power at the price of. This vacuum was made for those who are budget conscious and do not require a complicated mapping system, or even an app, to control it. The robot can run for up to an hour and comes with the remote, a cleaning tool, AC power adapter, charging base and extra filters.
The 11S is slim and sleek with an upper deck of tempered glass that covers plastic and is made to look like brushed aluminum. It's a refreshing departure from the utilitarian and industrial designs of Roomba, Samsung and Neato.
The eufy11S did well in our tests at removing larger debris and fine dust from hard floors. However, it struggled to provide medium and high pile carpets an effective deep clean. The device has a tendency of bumping into furniture and people along its path. However, it can detect obstacles with sensors. When it comes across them, it stops and lets out an alarm so that you can manually steer it around the obstacle and get it back to work.
Another fantastic feature of the eufy 11S is its BoostIQ mode that allows you to set the robot to automatically adjust its suction power to match the floor type and level of dirt. It's also easy to use the remote to direct the 11S where you want it to move.
If you don't have a lot of furniture in the space where you're looking to vacuum Single Room Mode is an excellent alternative. The eufy will take 30 minutes cleaning the area it's assigned to.
You can also opt for Edge Cleaning, which restricts the amount of time in each location to 20 minutes to ensure optimal battery life. With this option, the eufy will move in a spiral pattern taking care of edges and corners to ensure a clean.
Miele Complete C1
The Miele Complete C1 canister robot is a top mid-priced vacuum cleaner that performs well on carpet. Its performance on floors that are not bare is also impressive. It is able to remove rice and other fine debris effortlessly. The suction power doesn't drop as the dirt bin fills. Its air-sealed, allergy-friendly design snuff out allergens to keep your family safe. It comes with an onboard HEPA and self-emptying bin which means you don't require additional filters or vacuum bags.
It's not as powerful as the more expensive models, but it's great for tackling dirt and deep cleaning.
