The dust bag should last about 30 loads, or around one month or so, and you'll have to replace the filter once in a while (which is actually recommended by iRobot). The iRobot S9+ is not very loud when it's in use making it a great option for families with pets or children.
Eufy RoboVac Hybrid X8
Robot vacuum cleaners are designed to do the dirty work for you, and they are able to clean carpet and hardwood floors. Some robot vacuum cleaners can be controlled using apps on smartphones, and others have mopping technology for bathroom and kitchen flooring. They're an excellent choice for busy families and are becoming more affordable. However, if you want the latest features in your robotic cleaner, you're going to need to pay a little more.
The Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid is a complete vacuum and mopping machine making it a great choice for those who live in a home with multiple floors. It can identify the rooms, split large spaces into sub-rooms to make it easier to open-plan living, and guide the X8 Hybrid towards specific areas in need of cleaning at a particular time. Other robots also have similar mapping and scanning functions, but Eufy's app is more refined and user-friendly than others.
The X8 Hybrid has a great feature: you can control the vacuum cleaner or mop through voice thanks to the integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. This is a nice feature that makes the robot hands-free. It was a success in our test home.
The X8 Hybrid, like many robotic vacuums has some problems with floors that are not fully covered. It is prone to miss pet hair and small objects, and is more likely to bump into things, like its own charger at the base of its charging. It's not as quiet as other models we've tested, and the whirring sounds can be distracting.

The robot doesn't have as many features as some of the more expensive models we've tested however, it does have all the basics. It has a big dust bin that can hold a lot of dirt prior to needing to be emptied. The vacuum and mop system is ideal for carpets and hard floors with a low pile. It is also very quiet. We were able watch TV while it cleaned without feeling like we were bombarded with the sound.
Our testers were very impressed by how simple the machine was to use and set up. They also appreciated its ability to remove all the messes that had accumulated on their flooring. It also did a good job at removing pet hair and messes on carpeting, although it was not as effective in removing stubborn stains. They found the app easy to use and intuitive, and they were able to program the vacuum to clean regularly to reduce the amount they needed to do manually. The V3S Pro did not make it into our top choice lists of trusted best robot vacuum for hardwood floors sources who test hands-on, but it was praised by Modern Castle, Smart Robot Reviews and The Ambient. They appreciated the ease with which it was install and use, however they did note that its battery life is short and it didn't manage to stay clear of some of the most difficult problems we've encountered.
